Each of the works including the Michael Jackson and Bubbles figure was made in triplicate, and the show earned Koons a lot of money. And yet the rise hasn't been smooth.

Still coming to the terms with the emotional fallout from the loss of Ludwig, in 2007 he created the Koons Family Institute on International Law Policy, an offshoot of the International Centre for Missing Exploited Children (ICMEC), which fights child abduction (either by strangers or by family members).
